ASTLA is the Australian Short Term Lenders Association, and is the peak industry body for short term business lenders, caveat lenders, and other private business loan funders. The role of ASTLA is quite vast and varied. It's key role's cover the whole spectrum, from Lenders, Finance Brokers, Borrowers, & Law Makers.
What's in it for you?
1. For FINANCE BROKERS. Initially ASTLA was designed to be an association just for short term business lenders, however we have received an enormous amount of feedback and support from brokers. So it was decided by the ASTLA Board back in March 2011 to allow a special Membership level for Finance Brokers... known as an Associate Member. 2. For LENDERS. Being the peak body for short term private funders across Australia, we provide one colaborative voice when talking with Government & Government Agencies. We also provide support and assistance for our members across all areas from market intelligence, to legal information, and other forms of peer support. Flying the ASTLA flag also tells borrowers that you are a member of the association, and abide by it's code of conduct at all times. 3. For BORROWERS. Borrowing from private funders can sometimes be a little 'hit and miss' and potentially dangerous. There are so many to choose from, and quite often they can be finance brokers in disguise. By choosing an ASTLA member, you can proceed with the confidence of knowing that the entity you are dealing with is in fact a genuine lender, and will abide by the ASTLA Code of Conduct.
